Event Synopsis

Investors are increasingly interested in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) integration. Asset owners see ESG integration as an opportunity to generate long-term performance while fulfilling their fiduciary duty. Investment managers see sustainable investment as a way to improve the financial performance of their investment portfolios. What are the key factors driving mainstream investors’ expanding interest in sustainable investment? And what are the opportunities to advance the dialogue between sustainable investment and mainstream investments through indexing strategies?

On 11 May, we are delighted to have the Strategy Indices Director of S&P Dow Jones Indices with us to share the overall development of green finance and green bond markets across the globe, implications for Asian markets, and the key trends in 2017 and beyond. This speech will be followed by a panel discussion on the intrinsic value of sustainable investment: Does it generate investment alpha for fund managers, or is it just a fad?
